Developmental meets, also known as ‘B’ meets, do what the name implies — they “develop”. They are held to provide an opportunity for swimmers to experience the competative environment. Whether a swimmer swims two or no events on Wednesday night, the entire team is encouraged to come out and cheer on your team members.
Start time – 6:00 pm on Wednesday night
Swimmers – MUST arrive 15 minutes prior to posted warm-up time and check in with coaches.
Volunteers – Unless otherwise notified, you should plan on arriving 30 minutes prior to the start of the meet.
Developmental meets are run in a similar manner to Saturday meets, except the meet is not scored. In developmental meets you can usually expect multiple heats of each event. Ribbons are awarded to the First through Sixth place swimmers. All other swimmers receive participation ribbons.
