Cascades Rapids Swim Team
2011 Sponsorship Program

The Cascades Rapids Swim Team, a non-profit 501(c) organization and a member of the Colonial Swimming League http://csl.nvblu.com/core/core/domain/csl, will commence their 16th season this summer. Come be a part of what The Washington Post calls “the most successful youth swimming hub in the nation… the D.C. area has the most developed summer league program of anywhere in the country.” The registration fees and fund raisers only pays a portion of the actual costs involved with running our team. Coaches’ salaries, ribbons, awards, and many other items cost money.

TEAM MISSION

The Cascades Rapids are a member-run, family-oriented swim team that seeks to provide a fun and competitive environment for the swimmers in the Cascades community

DEMOGRAPHICS

During the months of June, July and August, the team practices every week Monday through Friday and competes in swim meets every Wednesday and Saturday; half the meets are held at our home pool. The team consists of approximately 200 children ages 6-18 and over 150 families. Families visit our web site daily for updated information and for official times recorded during the swim meet.

BENEFICIARY

The proceeds will support the Cascades Rapids Swim Team; a 501 (c) non-profit organization. Swimming is one of the few child sports that have non-volunteer coaches. Your donation can help to make this a memorable year for our young swimmers.

FOCUS ON KIDS

The primary objective of the Rapids swim program is to provide a competitive environment which all eligible swimmers can learn and improve upon their swimming skills, develop physically, and be recognized for their accomplishments. The swim team environment reinforces the importance of good sportsmanship and builds character in our swimmers
