Welcome to The Home of the Cascades Rapids Swim Team

The Cascades Rapids is a member-run, family-oriented summer swim team that seeks to provide a fun and competitive environment for the swimmers in the Cascades community.  The team consists of approximately 200 swimmers from 150 families that compete in the Colonial Swim League.

Rapids roll past Penquins 253-191.......Smash numerous team records..........Are 2009 Red Division Champions !!

The Cascades Rapids hosted the perrenial powerhouse Burke Center Penquins on Saturday, (a team they have not beaten since 2003), and made it very clear that the 2009 Rapids..... "Rule the Pool" !! The Rapids decisive win moved their record to 4-0 and with only one meet to go have locked up the red division championship!!! Way to go Rapids !! The Rapids continue to get faster and faster and on Saturday the team set 4 new team records and had numerous outstanding swims. Triple winners included Ryan Murphy, Ryan Williams, and Kiri Harvey. Max Propp set a new 13-14 boys backstroke record with a time of 32.60. The old record of 33.06 was set in 2003 by Andrew Shanley. Way to go Max ! The 11-12 boys set a new relay record with a time of 2:26.47. Congrats to William Lin, John Paul Popovich, Vince Marrocco, and Justin Touve. The old record of 2:28.34 was set in 2000 by Andrew Shanley, Tommy Plofchan, Matt Mclean, and Brian Durazo. The 13-14 boys relay team beat the record they set last week with a time of 2:16.00. Congrats to Max Propp, Matthew Johnson, Brandon Harvey, and Sean Hurrell ! The boys mixed age relay also beat the record they set last week with a blistering time of 2:00.46. Way to go Max Propp, Ryan Williams, William Lin, and Devin Bowers !!! Congratulations to all the Rapid swimmers for continuing to work hard and compete at a high level and special thanks to Coaches Alfredo and Jessica for making this season another "Championship Season" !!

At Wednesday night's development meet the excitment level was running high as The Cheetah Girls were spotted at the pool! Wednesday's meet results have been posted on the results page and the online database has been updated with the times.

You may order your photo prints directly from the ImageQuiz website using your credit card as payment or you may fill out a photo order form and turn in along with a check to the team tables during practice. The photo order form is available for download under the FORMS menu. All completed photo orders will be placed in your family folders.
